Looking at The Open Championship ticket prices to see how much it costs fans to get in and attend the 2023 tournament at Royal Liverpool.

For many golf fans who aren’t in the United Kingdom, it’s a full-on marathon to watch The Open Championship, one that we’re all prepared for this year for The Open in 2023 as it heads back to Royal Liverpool Golf Club. That includes getting up exceptionally early in the morning to watch the golf in the United States.

But you know what would be even better than that? Attending The Open Championship in person. Getting to experience the British Open at one of the most historic courses in the world, Royal Liverpool or another in future years, while the best golfers on the planet compete is a magical, truly life-changing experience.

What are the ticket prices like for a life-changer, though? That’s a good question, one worth answering. And we have the answer with a breakdown of 2023 Open Championship ticket prices along with more information on acquiring tickets.

Open Championship ticket prices 2023: Cost to attend British Open

2023 Open Championship ticket prices for Royal Liverpool range in cost from $143.71 (€128) to $396.33 (€353) throughout the four days of the tournament at Hoylake. Those prices come courtesy of StubHub International. The cheapest ticket is for Friday’s second round while the most expensive tickets are for the first round on Friday. For what it’s worth, Saturday is about €24 cheaper than Sunday’s final round as well, but both lowest-priced tickets are under €200.

The most expensive ticket available is for Sunday’s final round at The Open Championship, coming in at $1,690.88 (€1506) for a ticket

The resell market is the only way to get tickets for The Open at this point in the year if you’re a last-minute planner. The R&A, who runs the event every year, has a ticket ballot akin to that held every year at The Masters. A full year in advance, golf fans must apply to the be part of the ballot and will only get tickets if they are chosen. The deadline for that, which is found on the tournament’s website, to enter for 2024 is July 25, 2023.

Still, given the last-minute nature of looking at ticket prices for The Open now, the cost isn’t too much if you want to be able to witness history at Royal Liverpool.
