Today’s USMNT news includes Christian Pulisic making his AC Milan debut. Sergino Dest has been linked with Porto and Julian Gressel is set to join the Columbus Crew.

USMNT news: Christian Pulisic’s AC Milan debut

Christian Pulisic provided two assists in his AC Milan debut, where the Rossoneri defeated Lumezzane 7-0. It may have been against a Serie D side but the American looked dangerous coming in off the left from the very first minute. He even came close to scoring as he struck the post in the opening stages of the game.

We do not know how much game time Pulisic will get as a left-winger at Milan. His favoured position is currently occupied by Rafael Leao at the club, with Pulisic expected to be used as an attacking midfielder or off the right.

The next stop for Pulisic’s Milan is a tour of America, starting with a fixture against Real Madrid at the Rose Bowl. Then Milan takes on Juventus at Dignity Health Sports Park. This fixture could feature three USMNT players, as Timothy Weah and Weston McKennie could both also play. The two players have both been named on Juve’s roster for their pre-season tour of the United States.

USMNT news: Sergino Dest to Porto

It had appeared that Sergino Dest was set to stay at FC Barcelona and fight for his place. However, there could be an option for Dest to move to the Primiera Liga.

The Portuguese website O Jogo has reported that FC Porto is interested in signing Dest. Despite the player’s determination to get back into Xavi’s team, there is no guarantee that he will play. Moving to Porto may be seen as a step down but they are still a team that will be in the Champions League next season.

USMNT news: Julian Gressel to the Columbus Crew

Julian Gressel has been on fine form for the Vancouver Whitecaps, which has earned him six caps for the USMNT this year. However, the player is now set to move on from the Canadian side.

Tom Bogert has revealed that “The Columbus Crew is finalizing a deal to acquire star wingback Julian Gressel from the Vancouver Whitecaps. Gressel, 29, preferred to be back on East Coast. Vancouver worked to find a solution.”

Gressel is formerly of Atlanta United and DC United. The player will return to the Eastern Conference with Columbus who are currently 6th in the division.
