Tennessee Titans fans tuned into their team's preseason opener last weekend against the San Francisco 49ers full of optimism, hoping that a new coaching staff could help unlock a young offense led by second-year quarterback Cam Ward and 2026 top-10 pick Carnell Tate. Instead they got more of the same, as Ward made the same baffling mistakes that plagued him as a rookie and Tennessee generally didn't look any closer to competence on that side of the ball.
Now, Robert Saleh leads his team into a game that looms larger most preseason tilts. The defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks come to town on Sunday night, and Ward, Tate and Co. will get an entire half to try and show more progress than they did in Week 1. Seattle is a veteran team just trying to make it to the regular season without major injury, but it'll still be a stiff test for a young Tennessee team hoping to take a leap in 2026.
