Broncos’ punt mishap gives the game to Patriots (GIF)

The Denver Broncos and New England Patriots game went to over time. The Broncos were back to receive a punt with a little over three minutes left in the game and looked like they would get a shot to drive down the field and win a game one more time.
The Patriots were punting, and Wes Welker was back to receive. He waved off the punt return team late after he gave up on a fair catch. That caused the ball to bounce on the turf and hit Tony Carter. The “muffed punt” was recovered by Patriots defensive back Nate Ebner.
That gave the Patriots the ball at the 13 yard line. Stephen Gostkowski kicked a 31-yard field goal to give the Patriots the win late in overtime.
