College football bowl projections 2014: Sporting News releases latest update

The college football regular season is still just about two months away, but that never stops anyone from looking ahead much further than the late-August beginning. More specifically, it never stops anyone from making their projections as to which teams will face off in specific bowl games following the season.

There are more bowl games than ever before these days, which makes it a little more difficult to predict who will end up where.

Interesting predictions. For your pick in the New Orleans Bowl I assume your mean UL-L. There is no “Louisiana”. We are the “University of Louisiana at Lafayette”. We are sister schools with the University of Louisiana at Monroe, your pick for the Camellia Bowl. Except for the name thing it was a nice article. It is good to see more than two Sun Belt Conference teams in your projections although I am a bit surprised not to have seen South Alabama also going bowling. The Sun Belt Conference gets better every year and from top to bottom it is stronger this year than last. Can’t wait to start the season and I hope that you are correct and we go bowling in New Orleans for a fourth straight year.

Josh- What has you po’ed at me to the point that you are spouting Little Mermaid quotes? I re-read my post and the only thing I said wrong was that I hope the Cajun’s go back to the NOLA bowl- the truth is I hope we go to a better bowl and with Hud sticking around for at least another couple of years I think there is a pretty good chance of that. If a better bowl does not come along then I will be happy to be back in NO- had a great time last year following the game and hope to be off the boat this year so I can go in person.
