Live scoring updates for Oklahoma vs. Stanford in the 2015 NCAA Women’s Tournament.

We have entered the Round of 32 for the 2015 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and fifth seed Oklahoma will take on fourth seed Stanford in the Oklahoma City region.

Oklahoma defeated 12 seed Quinnipac in a 111-64 rout. Six players for the Oklahoma squad were in double figures in the game and were led by freshman guard Gabbi Ortiz who scored 16 points and added 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Oklahoma has never won a women’s basketball champion, but they were runner up as a 1-seed in 2002.

The Stanford ladies come into the game against Oklahoma as a 4-seed after a 25-9 regular season record. The Cardinal defeated Cal State Northridge in the first round of the tournament by a margin of 73-60. Stanford was led by senior forward Taylor Greenfield who came off the bench to add 19 points and four rebounds to the winning effort. Stanford won the women’s basketball championship in 1990 and 1992 and was a runner up in 2010 to Connecticut.

The winner of this great matchup will go on to play the winner of 1-seed Notre Dame vs. 9-seed DePaul. Notre Dame is 32-2 this season and looks to continue their roll. We’ll see if Stanford or Oklahoma can upset the Irish ladies in the next round.
