Magic Johnson, a huge fan of the Air Jordan brand, still asks MJ to send him gear.

Showtime still wants to show off – his new Jordans that is.

The Jordan Brand is so hot even Magic Johnson is asking MJ to hook him up.

After ending his relationship with Converse in1992, the brand he repped during his playing career, Magic became a huge fan of the Air Jordan line. Apparently, not much has changed. Magic says that he still asks His Airness to send him the latest Jordan gear.

“Michael is still number one…Michael is still the best, his brand is still the best,” said Johnson.

When Magic needs some new gear, he asks MJ and MJ delivers. “And what he doesn’t send, I go out and buy,” Magic told The Post Game.

You’d think that Magic, who has become an incredibly successful businessman after his playing career ended, would just pony up and buy it all himself. But what good are connections if you don’t use them?

Magic is the CEO of Magic Johnson Enterprises, a billion-dollar company that he stated in 1987. He has made successful business deals with dozens of influential people. This makes us wonder, what other free stuff can his connections land him?

Coffee: at one point, Magic owned 105 Starbucks. You’d have to think that, owning that many franchises, he has Howard Schultz’s phone number. Lattes, Americanos, Frappuccinos, the world is your oyster, Magic.

Peanuts and Cracker Jack: No need for Magic to buy these, as the song goes. He, along with an investment firm, purchased the Los Angeles Dodgers for $2.15 billion back in 2012. We’re pretty sure that his owners’ suite comes with all of the original ballpark snacks, among other things.

Popcorn: Magic’s business career really took off when he started opening up AMC Theaters and other franchise in under-served communities around Los Angeles. We’re pretty sure Magic could raid the concession stands at AMC Magic Johnson Capital Center 12 or AMC Magic Johnson Harlem 9 without any repercussions.

Big Mac: Between his buddy MJ and his bestie Larry Bird, Magic has it made when it comes to Big Macs, chicken nuggets, and the like. After all, Jordan and Bird’s McDonald’s commercial is one of the most famous of all time.

Between his illustrious playing career and successful business ventures, Magic has met a ton of influential people. If he keeps this up, he may never have to take out his wallet again, unless it’s to purchase another multi-billion dollar organization.
