Atlanta Falcons Sign Steven Jackson

Former St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson has finally found a home after three days on the free agent market. The Atlanta Falcons were viewed as the favorites from day one, and they were able to hold off a late charge from the Green Bay Packers to land their top target.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Another free-agent jolt: Rams free-agent RB Steven Jackson has reached agreement with the Atlanta Falcons.

Jackson provides an instant replacement for Michael Turner, who was released at the beginning of the month in a series of cuts. Jackson allows the team to keep their standing atop the NFC South without losing a beat.
The former Rams rusher may be on the downside of his career, but he is still more than capable of helping the team make another push to the postseason.
