No, no – you don’t need to back away from your computer screen. You read that correctly. Former Baltimore Ravens great Ray Lewis is not only climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, he’s doing it with Brad Pitt’s brother.

And yes, it does sound exactly like the plot for some slapstick comedy. However, despite the odd pairing, it’s all for a good cause as our own Josh Sanchez brought to light back in May.

Now, just a day away from his trek, Lewis was posting pictures of his soon to be endeavour on social media today which included meeting with local children and reviewing maps of the highest free standing mountain in the world.

Per USA Today:

"Former Baltimore Ravens star Ray Lewis is currently in Tanzania with a group that includes former Chicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris and Doug Pitt, who currently serves at the goodwill ambassador to the country in addition to his lifelong role as Brad Pitt’s brother. The team departs Wednesday for its trek to the 19,340 foot summit of Africa’s highest point, Mt, Kilimanjaro, which they expect to reach at some point Sunday. It’s all part of a mission called TackleKili, which was initiated to benefit WorldServe International and Pros for Africa’s charitable efforts to benefit clean water projects in Africa."
