With a Week 1 showdown against his former team coming up, Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Darrelle Revis says he’ll “spill the beans” on everything he knows about the New York Jets.

Revis spent his first six seasons in New York with the Jets before coming to Tampa Bay in a draft day trade in April. His debut against his former team will feature a battle against a quarterback—rookie Geno Smith—who Revis never played with. Smith said earlier in the week that wasn’t sure about reviewing tape of Revis, one of the best cornerbacks in the league, because he didn’t feel it was necessary.

According to Ryan Wilson of CBSSports.com, Revis found that very amusing.

"“I don’t understand why [laughing] he didn’t study me?” Revis said of Smith. “[Laughing more] Because I will be on the opposite side. But I don’t know what their gameplan or their preparation is. And personally I don’t know what Geno’s preparation is but I would hope if you’re playing against another opponent you should [laughing once more] study everybody on the opposing team.“I’m studying him,” Revis continued, still laughing. “Just to let him know, I’m studying him.”"
