While the city of Seattle is a beautiful place, one thing you don’t want to do is jaywalk in the city. Seriously – they have some of the most strict pedestrian laws in the country and if you happen to jaywalk, you’re likely going to find yourself on the wrong end of a ticket.

A collection of fans in the Ballard district of Seattle were very well aware of this last evening, refusing to cross the street to celebrate their Super Bowl victory until the stoplight allowed them to do so.

I can’t tell if it’s staged or not, but considering the laws, you almost think it’s legit. One guy decided to be a law breaker and cross before the light changed, but the rest all waited until they were legally allowed to do so.

Of course, they ended up staying in the street a little too long, but I’m pretty sure Seattle police had bigger fish to fry last night than ticketing jaywalking fans.
