Bills head coach Doug Marrone revealed on Sunday during an appearance on the NFL Network that Dareus was placed on the non-football injury list after failing his test.
For a guy who was arrested for street-racing and synthetic marijuana throughout the offseason, it’s just another red flag about how serious he has been about his preparation for the upcoming season.
“He needs to focus on getting himself ready,” Marrone said, via NFL.com.
The Bills will be hoping that Dareus can get it together, because he is one of the most talented young defenders in the league when he is in top form.
For a team that will already be without rising star linebacker Kiko Alonso, it will be crucial to get an in shape Dareus suited up as soon as possible.
