Here we sit, Tuesday, following the second week of college football across the nation. There were quite a few marquee matchups in this weekends games, and there were some great opportunities for some playmakers to highlight their skills. With the Heisman being the ultimate individual prize in college football, it’s time to take a look where guys are tacking.

In week two of the Heisman Pundit Straw Poll, there has been some definite movement. The Pundit has long been the most revered and accurate depiction of how the Heisman voting will shake out at season’s end. While there is still plenty of time, here’s how things currently stand.
Total Points (with first place votes in parentheses)
1. Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon — 24 (7)
2. Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia — 18 (3)
3. Kenny Hill, QB, Texas A&M — 9
4. Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama— 4
5. Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State — 3
6. (tie) Everett Golson, QB, Notre Dame  — 1
Javorius Allen, RB, USC  — 1
Although Todd Gurley was leading following week one, there was no denying Marcus Mariota this week. As the Oregon quarterback led the Ducks to a second half victory over highly ranked Michigan State, he claimed the top spot in the poll.
Expected by many to be the Heisman winner, Mariota could have taken over the top spot in the poll for good should Oregon continue to keep rolling through the competition. The Ducks host Wymoing this weekend in their final non conference matchup of the season.
Expect the poll to continue to shift throughout the season.
