Today’s technological advancements have provided all new opportunities for consumers to interact with not only themselves, but also those around them.  Fitness trackers have become one of the hottest products on the market, but many are far too expensive.  That is not the case with the Misfit Flash.

Misfit announced the first fitness tracker today to retail for under $50, the Flash.

Just like many of the much pricier options, the Misfit Flash tracks your steps, monitors your sleep cycle, and does really everything consumers have come to expect from similar products.

In a quote to Mashable, a Misfit spokesperson said, “It was important to Misfit to make the act of monitoring your activity and sleep more accessible for consumers to expand the industry to the masses, including those who may not have been able to invest in it in the past.”

Misfit currently offers a fitness tracker called Shine.  The Shine is $99 but the Misfit is made using less expensive materials.  Arguably the most noticeable difference between the Shine and the Flash, is that in the newer device, the face is one button.  The Flash uses LED lighting to display information.

Misfit is set to start offering the Flash at retailers like Amazon and Walmart in October.  Although the price point comes in lower, the device performs exceptionally well technically, in relation to its competition.

At $50, fitness enthusiasts would be hard pressed to find a better option on the market today.  Give the Misfit Flash a shot when it launches in October.
