The Baltimore Ravens have taken a major hit in terms of reputation for how they handled Ray Rice’s domestic dispute.

More from Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens didn’t come down hard on Rice until video surfaced of him striking his wife, while many felt Baltimore shouldn’t have needed such a video to significantly punish Rice when details of the incident were already known.

Unfortunately for Baltimore, they might be on the verge of suffering another blow to their reputation.

From Pro Football Talk:

"Multiple sources tell PFT that the Ravens expect a major investigative story to soon be published regarding the team’s mishandling of the Ray Rice case. Some claim that the looming report has sparked an “emergency meeting” in the Ravens’ front office.  It’s our understanding that a meeting already had been scheduled, and that the emergence of concern regarding an upcoming report about the situation was coincidental."

The “emergency meeting” PFT discusses was first reported by Jason La Canfora of CBS.

Whatever comes next surely won’t be good for Baltimore. It’s fair to speculate that such story will detail how the team could have accessed the video of Rice’s assault before it was made public, as there have been rumblings that this was the case in the past.
