Nearly every year in college football fans are subjected to the media being outraged towards one notorious athlete as he continues to make poor decisions off the field. Last year we saw this happen with Johnny Manziel, and this year the focus is solely on FSU quarterback Jameis Winston.

Winston, the Heisman trophy winner and National Champion, has made some poor choices off the field that has gotten him in trouble on more than one occasion. As you have likely heard, his most recent scandal was shouting an inappropriate sentence in the Student Union that caused him to be suspended for the entire Clemson game this past weekend.

He then garnered even more criticism by coming out on the field in full pads and warming up prior to the game, which had many believing that Jameis simply did not understand what his discipline meant.

While tons of analysts are giving their two cents on Jameis and his issues, former star running back for the Miami Hurricanes and Washington Redskins, Clinton Portis recently gave his advice to Jameis.

His most notable comment? Jameis is not a normal 20-year old college student due to him being the face of the FSU football team. Watch the video below to hear Portis’s advice for Winston moving forward:
