Some adorable puppies predicted the winner of the Oregon/Ohio State College Football Championship game on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

I think this is how everyone should make tough decisions. Just add a bunch of adorable puppies into the equation and let them make the decision for you.

The College Football Championship game is quickly approaching and will be played this Monday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It will be the first National Championship game that was decided in the new playoff format. The Ohio State Buckeyes made it to the championship game by knocking off the Alabama Crimson Tide, while the Oregon Ducks dismantled the Florida State Seminoles.

Both Ohio State and Oregon are 13-1 this season and both are great teams. It should be very evenly matched game, so it would be very difficult to predict who would win the College Football Championship. Jimmy Fallon came up with a solution of how to predict the winner.

Recently on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon brought out seven little puppies on to the set. At the end of a long, turf runway with two dog bowls at the end. One had ‘Ohio State’ written on it, and the other had ‘Oregon’ written on it. Jimmy then released all the puppies, and the dog bowl who got the most puppies eating out of it is the predicted winner of the College Football Championship.

Sounds pretty legitimate, only things didn’t go as plan.

After the puppies were released they didn’t really seem to interested in either bowls. Most of the puppies were a bit nervous to step out onto the runway, except for one brazen fella. That lone adventurous puppy goes right down the runway and eventually ends up at the Ohio State bowl. While he starts chowing down, the rest of the pups are still at the top of the runway, apprehensive about going any further. One puppy even stayed in the cage just sitting there.

Eventually, some more of the puppies find their way down the ramp. The same pup who was eating out of the Ohio State bowl then decides to urinate near the bowl, then proceeds to go to the Oregon bowl and eat out of that one. He is then joined by one other pup who decides to eat out of the Oregon bowl, and therefore, Oregon was deemed the winner.

I’m not sure what kind of omen that could be. That the puppy who was eating of the Ohio State bowl initially, urinates on the bowl, then goes to the Oregon bowl.

That can’t be a good sign for Ohio State, because we all know this puppy prediction is serious business.
