The Masters: Tiger Woods calls himself a dumb ass (Video)
Tiger Woods’ up and down day continued Thursday at the Masters when he called himself a dumb ass after his drive on the 15th.
Tiger Woods has made his return to the tour after an indefinite leave of absence that followed his withdrawal from the Farmers Insurance Open back in February. Playing the Masters at Augusta National on Thursday, Tiger has been pretty inconsistent and has had a few outbursts of anger as well.
After a bogey on the 12th hole, a birdie on the 13th and a par on 14, Tiger stepped up to the par five 15th hole looking for a much needed birdie. Well, Tiger’s driver didn’t have the same idea, leaving it out right once again.
After Tiger’s bad hit, did he A) Talk about himself in the third person, B) Call himself a dumb ass, or C) All of the above?
If you answered C, you are correct.
After Woods’ errant tee shot, he wasn’t able to make birdie, but was fortunate enough to save par on the hole. This kept Tiger Woods at 1-0ver par where he has been for most of the day.
This isn’t the first outburst Tiger has had today, either. Earlier on the sixth hole, Tiger dropped his club and yelled at himself after he didn’t like his tee shot.
Throughout his round on Thursday, it seems that Tiger’s scramble and short game has been on after bad drives, but when his long game is on, his short game has been rough. If Tiger wants to find a way to be in contention in the Masters, he’s going to need to get the different aspects of his game to meet in the middle.
The four-time Masters champion has had four bogeys and three birdies and is 1-over par through 16 holes.
