Ever feel like you’re reading an article and the headline doesn’t accurately reflect the content. Well I look at some of the bigger stories in  sports and come up with some headlines I think are better suited to the actual story.

“From the WINDOW, to the HOSPITAL!”

John Wall, point guard for the Washington Wizards, has five non-displaced fractures in his left wrist and hand from an injury he sustained Sunday. This is a big blow for them, especially considering his status has yet to be determined. The Wizards are currently tied at 1 with the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the NBA playoffs. In Game 1, Wall went crashing to the floor late in the second quarter and immediately felt it was fractured. Wall was averaging 17.4 points and 12.6 assists in the playoffs.

“Cavs apologize for being dumb and not realizing it”

The Cleveland Cavaliers sent out an apology on Thursday after playing an insensitive video during their playoff game Wednesday night. The video showed a man in a Cavaliers shirt throwing a woman in a Chicago Bulls shirt across a room. The video was supposed to mock the scene from the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’ when she runs into Patrick Swayze’s arms and he holds her up. Instead, in the spoof, he goes to pick her up and upon realization of her fanship, he throws her over a couch. The man says, “Bulls fan? I didn’t know you were a Bulls fan.” Later she is shown sitting with him holding an ice pack on her head and wearing a Cavaliers shirt and she said, “well, I’m all-in now.” Then an announcer says, “When it’s playoff basketball time, you have to be all-in. Don’t make the same mistake she made.”

“Isn’t this America, I thought this was American, isn’t this America?”

A St. Petersburg man faces misdemeanor charges after bringing a gun to the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens game. According to reports, someone saw the 27-year-old  drop the gun in the bathroom and immediately notified authorities. The man will only face second-degree misdemeanor charges because he had a valid concealed weapon permit.

“Oh people are mad? We should look into this.”

The league is reviewing the recent hiring of Isaiah Thomas as the president of the New York Liberty. When the news broke about the hiring, many were outraged seeing as Thomas has a shaky past involving a sexual harassment lawsuit. He was accused of sexually harassing a Madison Square Garden employee back in 2007 but was never found personally liable. The league is already involved with a domestic dispute case involving Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson. They were arrested after assaulting each other in their home two weeks ago.

“Mayweather continues to act like a 2 year old with a new baby in the house.”

After initially agreeing to fight Manny Pacquiao in a rematch next year, Floyd Mayweather has now changed his mind because Pacquiao is a “coward.” During an interview with Showtime’s Jim Gray Mayweather said, “Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again? Yeah, but I change my mind. At this particular time, no, because he’s a sore loser and he’s a coward.”

His words stem from the news that Pacquiao was fighting with a shoulder injury he failed to disclose in a timely fashion. Pacquiao suffered a torn rotator cuff and will undergo surgery on Wednesday. After that, he will need about a year to recover. Mayweather doesn’t believe in the injury apparently, he said, “”I’m not going to buy into the bull**** … and I don’t want the public to buy into the bull****… He lost. He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.”
