Not only did Paul Pierce provide us with one of the more amazing shots of the NBA Playoffs, he had a nice quote to go along with it as well

Saturday afternoon it really looked like the Washington Wizards would be having one of the bigger chokes of the NBA Playoffs. After dominating for the duration of the contest, they let a 20-point slip away in the final period, letting the Hawks tie it up with under 10 seconds to go.

That was when Paul Pierce stepped in and told everyone that there would be no overtime and it was time for everyone to go home now.

With time running out in regulation, Pierce hit a nice fall away two-pointer to give the Wizards the win and the 2-1 series lead.

But, for as good as the shot was, it might not have anything on the quote he gave after the game.

When asked by Chris Broussard whether he called bank or not, well, Pierce had this to say…

The troll game on this one is stronger than ever, and quite frankly, the game of basketball is better for having Paul Pierce around.

The Hawks thought they had the miracle comeback in the bag, but those dreams went out the window when Pierce “called GAME.”
