Ever feel like you’re reading an article and the headline doesn’t accurately reflect the content. Well I look at some of the bigger stories in  sports and come up with some headlines I think are better suited to the actual story.

“Is Lebrons wife pregnant?”

As Lebron James and the Cavaliers prepare for Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors, Lebron was asked about motivation. First he said he didn’t need any extra motivation.

"“My motivation is to make sure my guys are ready and prepared every night we step on the floor,” James said."

But then he got all secretive adding, “And I have some other motivation that I wont talk about right now, but I have so many different things to worry about than being an underdog or guys counting us out.”
Hmm, suspicious. The first thing that popped into my mind is that he and his wife could be expecting their fourth child. It would seem a little crazy considering his daughter was born in October 2014, but definitely possible! He was very secretive during her pregnancy last time. Or maybe it’s just, a bedroom reward of some sort, it’s anyone’s guess now!

“He’s a nerd who enjoys skittles and no conversation, he’s Marshawn Lynch”

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set to release in early November and will feature Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. The game is set in the year 2065 where cybernetic advancements give rise to augmented human soldiers. The mission leads them to Singapore where they meet an underworld boss and his mercenaries, one of which will be portrayed by Lynch. The running back said he’s been a fan since he was in college at Cal. In terms of what his character must possess, he seemed to only have three requirements, “He better have dreads, gold teeth, and my distinctive walk. Then people will be like, ‘Oh, that’s really Beast Mode right there!’”

“Ben Bishop does what every other hockey player does”

There has been speculation for awhile that Tampa Bay Lightning goalie Ben Bishop is suffering some sort of lower body injury. In Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Chicago Blackhawks, he left the game in the middle of the third. He ended up returning just to leave again shortly after. In Game 3, it was apparent he was favoring his left side and showing some struggles while shifting sides or getting up. Nonetheless, the possibly achy Bishop managed to hold off the Hawks and lead his team to a 3-2 victory. Forward Ryan Callahan said, “You don’t second-guess anybody this time of year. Everybody wants to play no matter what’s going on. He played big (yesterday).” Whatever it is, it’s clearly not going to take this guy out of the Stanley Cup Final; which is in perfect hockey fashion.

Hockey-tough is a persistent phrase for a reason. Some examples, in 1999, The Coyotes were playing the Stars and Jeremy Roenick took a big hit from Darian Hatcher, one that smashed his face into the glass, breaking his jaw in multiple places. While Hatcher was being ejected, Roenick spit out the blood, stuck his fingers into his mouth and adjusted the shattered pieces, then got back on the ice. Earlier in the same play, he also had taken a slash that broke his thumb. Countless players have played on broken feet, ankles and legs (Bobby Baun, Gregory Campbell, Sidney Crosby). Although I am a Blackhawks fan, I will say kudos to Bishop for acting hockey-tough.

“Miami Dolphins DT, is an Uber cool guy”

For his third season in the NFL, A.J Francis is set to earn $510,000 under his contract. However, he won’t see a paycheck until July and players can never be sure if they are going to make that final roster. So being a smart responsible man, he decided to pick up a job on the side to make some extra cash.

Set pickup location. Request UberX. Arriving now is A.J. Francis in a Dodge Charger.

Not a bad gig considering he makes about $40 to $50 an hour. To add to his master plan, he films interviews with passengers because after his football career he wants to pursue a broadcasting career. This is an A+ football player.
