All 30 teams are in action for the big tournaments on FanDuel again tonight. We are (mostly) back to intraleague contests, meaning that there are many more statistics to analyze for today. All of the top tier pitchers have fared well against their opponents. Who is worth paying for? Let’s find out!

NOTE: these picks are based solely on statistics. Some players have never faced their opponents, or have very little experience against them. I am not saying that none of those are good picks. This is based on statistical analysis only. If you have a gut feeling, then by all means, follow that. This is not an exact science. I just provide the facts.
Here are my FanDuel hitter picks for June 19:
First Base:
Best Bet:
Mark Teixeira, Yankees ($3,700): It’s tough for first basemen today. Albert Pujols is just 4 for 22 agianst Sonny Gray. Prince Fielder is 4 for 25 against Chris Sale. That wipes out most of the high priced guys. That also leaves Tex as a great bargain. He is 7 for 17 with a double, two homers, and four RBI off of Alfredo Simon in his career.
If You’re Cheap:
Billy Butler, Athletics ($2,200): It’s hard to recommend Butler in the midst of his worst professional season. He has done pretty well against Matt Shoemaker though. He is 3 for 8 with two walks, a double, and two RBI off of the Angels right hander. This could be nothing more than a desperation play though.
Second Base:
Best Bet:
Brandon Phillips, Reds ($2,800): Phillips is 7 for 21 in his career off of Dan Haren with two homers and five RBI. He could provide some nice numbers at this price tonight.
If You’re Cheap:
Aaron Hill, Diamondbacks ($2,200): Hill’s 10 for 36 clip (.278) off of James Shields is not all that impressive on the surface. However, he has tacked on four walks, a double, and four home runs off of Shields. If he catches one, chances are it’s going a long ways.
Adam Rosales, Rangers ($2,300): With Rougned Odor back, the Rangers infield is becoming crowded. So why am I confident that Rosales will be in the starting lineup tonight? Rosales is a cool 7 for 14 with a walk, three homers, and six RBI off of White Sox ace Chris Sale. No one else on the club is hitting better than .167 against Sale other than Adrian Beltre and Josh Hamilton, who are both on the DL.
Shortstop:
Best Bet:
Brandon Crawford, Giants ($2,800): With Zack Cozart on the DL, Crawford takes over the top slot at SS tonight. Crawford is 2 for 4 wtih three walks, a triple, and an RBI off of Mike Bolsinger. Crawford is one of the few guys that he has failed to get out with regularity in his short career.
If You’re Cheap:
Marcus Semien, Athletics ($2,400): Semien is 4 for 8 with two doubles and a solo home run off of Matt Shoemaker. That gives him nine FanDuel points in eight at bats against Shoemaker. I will take a chance on that ratio!
Third Base:
Best Bets:
Anthony Rendon, Nationals ($3,500): Rendon has punished A.J. Burnett so far in his career. He is 7 for 16 wtih two walks, three homers and nine RBI. Rendon might be the best bet of the entire night!
Alex Rodriguez, Yankees ($3,300): Say what you will about ARod, but he has earned that outlandish salary against Justin Verlander. Rodriguez is 10 for 28 with a double, four walks, four homers, and an impressive nine RBI off of Verlander.
If You’re Cheap:
Chris Johnson, Braves ($2,200): Johnson is one of the few people in the league that have had any sort of success off of Jacob deGrom. Johnson is 5 for 11 with a double and three RBI off of deGrom. The rest of the Braves team combined has driven in just two runs in 48 at bats.

Catcher:
Best Bet:
Brayan Pena, Reds ($2,400): There really isn’t much for statistical support at catcher tonight, Pena’s 3 for 8 with a double off of Dan Haren is about as good as you will find.
If You’re Cheap:
David Ross, Cubs ($2,200): There is no guarantee that the Cubs will give Miguel Montero the night off, but if they do, Ross is a good option. He is 3 for 8 with a solo home run off of Phil Hughes in his career.
Outfield:
Best Bets:
Mike Trout, Angels ($5,200): Trout carries a hefty price tag, and he has not done very well against Sonny Gray. He has only gathered 4 hits in 22 at bats and has struck out ten times. So why would I even consider this? Half of Trout’s hits off of Gray are home runs.
Andrew McCutchen, Pirates ($4,600): If you have money to blow, McCutchen might be the place to do it. He is 4 for 14 with a walk, a double, a homer, and three RBI off of Max Scherzer in his career. Of course, your money might be better spent elsewhere.
Ryan Braun, Brewers ($4,600): Braun has absolutely destroyed Jorge De La Rosa in his career. Braun has reached base 13 times in 17 at bats against De La Rosa. He has three walks, four doubles, three homers, and a whopping ten RBI. Adding to the fact that this game is at Coors Field, and Braun is a must play tonight. You are giving away money if you don’t use him.
If You’re Cheap:
Denard Span, Nationals ($3,200): Span has been around long enough to rack up 47 at bats against A.J. Burnett. He has come away with 15 hits and a walk. He has three doubles, four RBI, and few steals to go along with that.
Melky Cabrera, White Sox ($2,300): Melky is 3 for 9 with two doubles and a RBI off of Colby Lewis. Lewis hasn’t done all that well against the Pale Hose, so if he is on base, he has a chance for more points.
