The Baltimore Ravens suffered a huge loss on defense when they lost Terrell Suggs to a leg injury that might be serious.

When the Baltimore Ravens started their season on Sunday, the last thing they wanted to do was lose more than just the game. That’s what happened though, as they had to watch as defensive star Terrell Suggs was carted off the field with what appeared to be a leg injury that was largely brought about by no contact at all.

Suggs walked off the field under his own power, but he needed to be carted to the locker room for further evaluation.

It’s not the way you want to see your season start if you’re a Ravens fan, as the defense is going to be much weaker with Suggs out — and that’s a shame after how stout it’s looked against Denver. People may chalk it up to Peyton Manning being old, but the Ravens looked pretty solid on defense up until they lost Suggs and that’s something they’re hoping isn’t a long term thing.
