The Cleveland Browns and Washington Redskins will meet this week from FedExField in Landover, Maryland this Sunday.

The Cleveland Browns and Washington Redskins face off this Sunday afternoon in a game of great importance for both squads. The Redskins got their first win of the season in Week 3, while the Browns are still looking for their first victory of 2016.

Things were looking promising for the Browns in the preseason. With several nice acquisitions including RG3 and the development of speedster wideouts like Terrelle Pryor, the Browns were hoping for better things this season.

Unfortunately, key injuries, along with several bad breaks, have the Browns sitting at 0-3 (and likely to soon be 0-4) heading into Sunday’s game.

While the Browns can’t seem to get a break so far this season, they may be in for more problems this weekend when they face Washington.

The defending NFC East champions looked like the team they imagined they would be this season for the first time last week vs. the Giants. Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for nearly 300 yards and more importantly, no touchdowns in their 29-27 win.  If Cleveland is going to pull off the upset, they are going to need a few breaks to go their way for a change.

While the Browns lead the all-time series 33-11-1, these two haven’t met a lot since the year 2000. In fact, they have only played three times in this millennium, with the Skins winning two of the three meetings. The latest match-up saw the Skins roll to a 38-21 win back on December 16, 2012.

When two teams don’t meet often, betting trends can be hard to read.

When the Browns play of late, the total score has been consistently finishing UNDER. In fact, the total has gone UNDER in six of Cleveland’s last seven games on the road. That may get tested this week against Washington, who has gone OVER the total points number in four of the last five contests at home.

Las Vegas odds makers have the Redskins listed as a 9.5-point favorite, with the over/under total set at 45.5.

Game time for the Browns-Redskins match-up is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET, and the game will be aired on CBS affiliates.
