MLB playoffs 2016: What station is ESPN?

The MLB Playoffs are starting this week and the National League Wild Card game is taking place on ESPN.

ESPN has always been a monopoly in coverage of baseball and unfortunately they only get this Wild Card game for the playoff run.

The San Francisco Giants are set to take on the New York Mets at Citi Field, Wednesday at 8:08 p.m. ET. Both teams finished with identical records (87-75) and finished second place in their respective divisions. Madison Bumgarner takes the hill against Noah “Thor” Syndergaard. Both had very respectable ERAs during the regular season and hope to continue that trend to help their team advance to the divisional series against the Chicago Cubs.

During the regular season the Mets lead the series against the Giants with four wins to three defeats, but the playoffs are a different animal.

But I can’t find the channel you say? Well ESPN has their WatchESPN website to view the game on your computer or smart phone. ESPN Radio is also hosting all playoff games are on their radio station as well.

Below are the channel listings for those that need a quick refresher and if need be to set the DVR’s.

The only downside of not having ESPN for the duration of the playoffs is not getting more of Jessica Mendoza who has really come into her own as a color analyst and continues to improve after each broadcast.
