Barcelona stage an improbable comeback to seal their way into the Champions League Quarter-Finals.

In their second leg match against Ligue 1’s Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona entered the match down 4-0 on aggregate. The Spanish giants needed four goals to bring this match into extra time, and five to win it all.

Luis Suarez started the comeback with a third-minute goal to see his team down by three. Then, PSG’s Layvin Kurzawa put in an own-goal in the 40th minute to see the home side down by two on aggregate.

After Lionel Messi’s 50th minute strike, PSG were able to fight back and bring the aggregate total to 5-3 in the 62nd minute.

Luis Enrique’s men didn’t stop, however, as Neymar was able to give his side two goals in the span  of three minutes near the end of the game to tie this match at 5-5 on aggregate.

This match almost seemed scripted, as Barcelona entered this game as favorites to fail to make it to the next round of the Champions League.

With the game looking to be headed into extra time, in stepped Barcelona’s greatest chance to seal the victory. With a free kick just outside of PSG’s box in the 94th minute, Neymar was able to lob a nicely timed cross just in front of PSG keeper Kevin Trapp and found the foot of Sergi Roberto to grab the 6-5 comeback and guide the five-time Champions League winners into the Quarter-Finals.

With the victory, Barcelona will now need to wait to see who they will face in the next round of the Champions League. Although, after a match like that, I think they are feeling very energized and a team that the remaining clubs might be fearful to face.
