American Ninja Warrior season 9: Cleveland finals live stream

Have the course designers of American Ninja Warrior run out of new obstacles for the city finals round, or is there a surprise waiting in Cleveland?

Over the course of this season of American Ninja Warrior, we’ve grown quite accustomed to knowing almost the entirety of the course, if not the full layout, before we even start the episode, thanks to all kinds of videos that NBC posts to the show’s official YouTube channel. For example, in last week’s Daytona Beach city finals, yours truly was able to construct the entire course based on a mix of sources.

Sadly enough, it won’t be the same way this week. Neither the NBC press description nor the YouTube channel for American Ninja Warrior have any obvious tidbits. It even looks as though this might be the practice going forward, too, at least with episode synopses … and maybe even NBC’s promos, too!

If you pay close attention, you’ll realize that the only obstacle from the second part of the course that’s shown in that video is … the Salmon Ladder. Talk about disappointment, fans.

The only thing that we can maybe take as a hint is Matt Iseman saying “She’s gonna make history!” … while showing Jesse Labreck on the Ring Jump, which she beat on her way to finishing the qualifying course.

Naturally, that voice clip could be taken from the qualifying episode as well and just reused here for dramatic effect, but the logical way for Labreck to “make history” would be to do what Jessie Graff could not on last week’s episode and actually hit the buzzer on the city finals course after the Elevator Climb.
