Everton has had a difficult and often frustrating Premier League season so far. They started off with a win and a clean sheet against Stoke in the first match, but have picked up just one point in the subsequent four contests. They have faced Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United in those four games, however. Their schedule begins to ease up starting with Bournemouth on Saturday, and the Toffees need to start picking up points in a hurry. Wayne Rooney scored the only two goals Everton have produced in the league, which is not ideal considering the amount of money they spent this summer. Bournemouth at home presents a way to get back on track.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, started the season with four straight losses before picking up three points over Brighton last weekend. The Cherries finally began to see returns on their investments over the past few transfer windows. Jordon Ibe, who was a record signing the previous summer, notched his first two assists for Bournemouth, and Jermain Defoe slotted home his first goal for his new team. Eddie Howe’s squad will need more from both of them to get a result away to Everton.
