It was a weird weekend in the NFL, with a handful of upsets throwing us all for a loop — but which one was the best?

We’re three weeks into the NFL season, which is usually when we’re supposed to start figuring things out. Instead, those who didn’t boycott football watched a handful of teams that were supposed to win get upended — or in some cases nearly upended — in surprising fashion.

Upsets are always thrilling (unless you’re a fan of a team on the wrong side of one) but which of Week 3 upset was the best?

Honorable Mention

Final
Houston Texans
33
New England Patriots
36

Deshaun Watson marched the Texans into Gillette Stadium and almost beat the Patriots.

Wait…what?

That’s right, the Texans were just two minutes away from beating the Patriots on the road. Deshaun Watson was a massive reason why we were that close to the biggest upset of the week, but it didn’t happen. We can still give it an honorable mention, though, and rightfully so. Houston was expected to get blown out of the water by Tom Brady and company but instead forced him to lead a game-winning comeback drive. If that’s not the most impressive moral victory of the season — specifically for Deshaun Watson who we need to take more seriously — then nothing is.
