No. 7 Butler will face No. 2 Purdue in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday. Here’s everything you need to watch on TV and online.

We’re at the point of NCAA Tournament history where we can no longer look to Butler as the Cinderella darlings of yesteryear and now we can expect the Bulldogs to be fixated in postseason play and almost guaranteed to make a run. After taking to task an up-and-down Arkansas team on Friday, the Bulldogs look to carry the charge into Sunday facing off against the No. 2 Purdue Boilermakers.

The Bulldogs were led by 6-foot-7 senior forward Kelan Martin with 27 points who hit 5-of-11 from beyond the arc and shot 56.3 percent from the field. Sophomore Guard Kamar Baldwin helped out in the effort with 24 points in the win and made 2-of-3 from deep and was right there with Martin hitting 52.9 percent of his shots. With the two players playing 39 minutes and 36 respectively, it will be interesting to see how first-year Head Coach Lavall Jordan manages his stars on Sunday.

Hoping to answer the call and gain a little bit of respect as one of the more underrated teams in college basketball is the Purdue Boilermakers. Purdue comes in after making light work of first round opponent Cal State Fullerton, winning 74-48 in Detroit, Friday. The Boilermakers have played a tough schedule all year lead by big man Isaac Haas and Carsen Edwards at the guard spot.

Haas broke his elbow in Purdue’s first round game and, despite practicing today, is unlikely to play. the Boilermakers will need to continue hitting from the outside (No. 2 in 3-point percentage) as they have all year long and will need the same type of output that Vincent Edwards had on Friday — providing 15 points to go along with 15 from Carsen Edwards and nine points and 10 rebounds from Isaac Haas.

In the absence of Haas, Purdue will concentrate its efforts on defense as they have been one of the best in the NCAA, posting a 95 defensive rating for top-20 honors. The Bulldogs can challenge that defense as they are one of the better scoring teams in college basketball with an offensive rating of 110.8. playing in the Big East Conference.
