No one can stop Adrian Wojnarowski. If there can be any element of suspense in unknowing, he is there to stop it. Now, eSports will suffer the same.

You might be familiar with the name Adrian Wojnarowski. He’s Polish and therefore good, but he’s best known for being most often the person to break NBA related news. If there’s a trade about happen, Woj will fire a bomb up into the Twittersphere and let the shrapnel rain down into everyone’s timeline. If someone is going to make a certain pick in the NBA draft, Woj is going to tell you about it before the team does.

Sure, there are other names that now do the same like Marc Stein or Shams Charania, but the term “Woj Bomb” was coined for a reason. It means an unexpected precision strike at your boredom with news that would seem fanciful coming from any other source.

Unfortunately, this is a slow time for Woj. Kawhi news is essentially lack of anything new. There are no trades after the trade deadline, and the draft isn’t for a few months. He might be good, but he can’t predict the outcomes to games. So what is a Woj to do?

Spoil eSports, obviously.

Full disclosure: I don’t know who Artreyo Boyd aka Dimez is, but Woj does. That means he’s important.

The content of the tweet is less interesting to me than the fact it exists. Woj is now breaking news for more than just the NBA. He’s moved on to eSports, albeit NBA affiliated.

It could intimate a career shakeup for Woj though. Maybe this is his way of telling the world he would rather be covering Starcraft or League of Legends. I get the impression he’s played a bit of Dota in his days. We’ll just have to wait and see.
