The Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals face off in the Stanley Cup Final. Here’s the schedule and how you can watch every game.

After six weeks and three rounds, the Stanley Cup Final has finally arrived. The Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals will face off both looking to capture their first Stanley Cup.

The Golden Knights have cruised through the playoffs, winning 12 of 15 games. A Stanley Cup win for the Golden Knights would cap off the greatest season for any expansion team in history. The Washington Capitals took a significantly different route to the Stanley Cup Final. Washington lost the first two games of their first-round series and could have gone down three games, needing overtime to win Game 3.

After losing Game 2, the Capitals won 10 of their next 12 games before losing three straight to Tampa Bay in the Eastern Conference final. Washington again got hot, shutting Tampa out two games in a row to advance to the Stanley Cup Final.

Vegas has ridden the strong play of Marc-Andre Fleury in net to the final. The three-time Cup winner has been incredible in the playoffs and should be the favorite for the Conn Smythe Trophy. Jon Marchessault, Reilly Smith and William Karlsson have carried the Golden Knights offensively. The trio has combined for 16 goals and 47 points.

Washington’s playoff history has been a nightmare for their players and fans. However, they have a chance to end their nightmare. Alexander Ovechkin and Niklas Backstrom are Washington’s two longest-serving players and will look to win their first Stanley Cup. Ovechkin has 12 goals and 22 points in the playoffs, while Backstrom has 16 points but has been dealing with an arm injury. Both players will have to have strong series if the Capitals are going to win their first Stanley Cup.
