Winner: Oklahoma State Cowboys (No. 24 up to No. 15)

How could you not consider Oklahoma State a major winner this week? The Cowboys hosted No. 17 Boise State, the Group of Five’s highest-ranked team, and they were able to wallop the Broncos in Stillwater, 44-21.

I’ll be the first to admit that I believed Oklahoma State would be nothing without Mason Rudolph at quarterback. He was one of the program’s best quarterbacks and he left the position with little experience and no gunslingers with proven ability to sling the ball around the field. Well, Taylor Cornelius has far exceeded expectations.

Cornelius was 150-for-26 with 243 yards and a touchdown and he got some help from Justice Hill in the backfield. Hill rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown while Cornelius had two more rushing scores of his own.

While Oklahoma may seem untouchable in the Big 12 standings, the Cowboys may give the Sooners a run for their money. The matchup near the end of the year between the two in-state rivals may be for all the marbles.
