Is Tom Coughlin unhappy with how the Jaguars are being coached?

The Jaguars are wrapped up in a disaster of a season, and Tom Coughlin doesn’t seem to be OK with the way Doug Marrone is coaching this team.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently riding a seven-game losing streak and are 3-8 thus far in 2018, just one year after making it to the AFC Championship Game.
Tom Coughlin, Jacksonville’s executive VP of football operations, is reasonably frustrated. But it doesn’t seem to be just because the Jags have turned into a complete dumpster fire.
According to NFL.com, Coughlin made some comments that seemed to imply that he isn’t a fan of the way head coach Doug Marrone is running things. More specifically, how a team that relies on a heavy running game has been so lackluster on offense.
“Everyone’s aware of it. And it’s not my philosophy. It’s coach [Doug] Marrone’s philosophy,” Coughlin said. “And that’s the important thing. But as you adjust through the course of a season dealing with points for, points against, what the score is, where you’re at, so on and so forth, you do get away from yourself sometimes, and sometimes you’re forced to. And sometimes you fall into a pattern where it becomes kind of the thing to do, and you get away from it. There’s no doubt you have to go back and re-evaluate who you are.”
Considering the freefall the Jaguars are in the midst of, some re-evaluation seems pretty necessary. This is a team that came just minutes away from the Super Bowl last year, were expected to be a Super Bowl contender this year, and instead are in last place in the AFC South.
Coughlin clearly isn’t happy with the kind of football the Jags are playing and the way they are being coached, and a change might be in order in the near future.
Quarterback Blake Bortles has already been benched — something that probably should’ve happened a long time ago — in favor of Cody Kessler. Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was recently fired as well.

But if the Jaguars don’t start winning games again soon, Marrone himself might be heading for the door as well.
