The stars of each Final Four team will be talked about a lot this week but who are some of the names you might not know who could have a huge impact on the outcome of Saturday’s games?

After two weeks of some of the best basketball we’ve seen all season long, we finally know who will be competing in the Final Four. No. 1 seed Virginia will face off against this year’s Cinderella No. 5 seed Auburn, while No. 2 seed Michigan State will go head-to-head against No. 3 seed Texas Tech.

This also means for the first time since 1985 that a Final Four will not feature traditional hoop powers Duke, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville (sad face), North Carolina or UCLA.

Regardless of that statistic, we are in for one hell of a ride as four teams from the four dominant Power Five conferences (Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12), all of whom either won the regular season conference championship or post-season conference championship, will face off.

Each year there are the typical “household” names that fans and national media alike spend time talking about in preparation of the big matchups, and this year that’s no different.

But it’s often a more unheralded name that makes a big play or provides a huge performance to carry their team to the National Championship game.

Let’s take a look at who those players might be in this year’s Final Four.
