Wondering who will be hosting the 2019 Tony Awards? Don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.

The 2019 Tony Awards will take place on June 9, and the premiere awards for Broadway are already set up to be a good one.

With the stars of Broadway fighting to take home one of the many coveted trophies, the major award, Best Musical, will be a showdown between Beetlejuice, The Prom, Hadestown and Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations. Hadestown has the most overall nominations of any musical and is also the favorite to take home Best Musical.

But who will host the 2019 Tonys?

The 2018 Tony Awards were hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles. The pair did a good job, but the talented singers lost some of the humor aspect that these long, boring award shows so desperately need as the audience waits in anticipation for their favorite stars to accept awards and make speeches.

Luckily, what the 2019 Tony Awards will lose in overall record sales, it will make up for in humor.

The host of the 2019 Tonys will be James Corden.

While many will think of Corden from his many award show hosting gigs and his lead role at the helm of the Late Late Show with James Corden, don’t forget he played a role in the hit BBC series Doctor Who, as well.

You can take a quick look at this performance in the video below:

Yes, that was a younger Corden doing something other than interviewing celebrities and “Carpool Karaoke” videos. He’s an extremely talented comedian, host and actor and will bring all of that to the 2019 Tonys.
