WWE NXT UK preview October 17, 2019: Watch online

A preview of the October 17, 2019 edition of NXT UK, which features Gallus challenging Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster for the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.

Gallus are a gritty gang of ruffians dedicated to one thing and one thing only: beating up and punishing anyone who isn’t with them. In practice, this translates to most of the NXT UK roster, as Gallus membership only runs three people deep.

For brothers Mark and Joe Coffey and rowdy uncle-figure Wolfgang, their lives are dedicated to fighting everyone is all in service of their “kingdom.” Joe, Mark and Wolfgang want to be the pre-eminent force in NXT UK, in WWE, in the wrestling world. Their kingdom is one where the three of them rule, and everyone else is a peasant to be stepped on.

Despite successes — most recently Joe Coffey finally triumphed over perpetual large thorn in the group’s side, Dave Mastiff — Gallus’ so-called kingdom is still missing something. No member of Gallus has yet to distinguish the group with the one thing that measures ultimate success in wrestling; no member of Gallus has yet to bring home some of that sweet, sweet championship gold.

It’s not like they haven’t had opportunities. Joe Coffey failed to topple Pete Dunne at TakeOver: Blackpool and was subsequently booted in the head and out of the United Kingdom Championship picture by WALTER. Mark Coffey and Wolfgang were in the tag team triple threat at TakeOver: Cardiff, but walked away without securing the tag titles.

Mark and Wolfgang, however, were not pinned during that triple threat. As such, they’ve staked their claim to be next in line for a shot at the titles now held by Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster. With no third team distracting them — or more accurately, diving on them to prevent the break-up of a pin — they’re feeling pretty confident.

In a matter of minutes, they have a chance to (1) batter Andrews and Webster, (2) watch the duo’s dream title reign crumble, and (3) position themselves atop the NXT UK tag team mountain. Beat people up, punish them and bring home gold for the kingdom? These are the kind of chances that Gallus live for.
