LSU vs. Alabama odds, prediction: How to bet, watch
By Ethan Lee
LSU and Alabama meet in Tuscaloosa. The winner gets the inside track to the SEC Championship Game and quite possibly the playoffs.
The LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide face off in what is arguably college football’s most anticipated matchup of the season so far. The Tigers head to Tuscaloosa looking to snap a losing streak against the Tide. Alabama welcomes LSU to town aiming to remain undefeated and maintain its seemingly inevitable annual track to the college football playoffs.
This pivotal matchup features two of the best teams in the country who each boast a Heisman contender at quarterback. LSU’s Joe Burrow has thrown for 2805 yards and 30 touchdowns against 4 picks while completing 78.8 percent of his passes.
Meanwhile, Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa is completing 74.7 percent of his throws and has 2166 passing yards for 27 touchdowns while only having 2 interceptions this season. Both of these quarterbacks are phenomenal. Both are primed to have big games on Saturday.

Prediction
One of the trademarks of the matchups between Alabama and LSU in the earlier portion of the decade was how dominant the defenses were when the two teams met. The two teams boasted two of the best defenses in the country, with each side bursting with eventual NFL talent. And on multiple occasions, the meetings yielded low-scoring games.
This game still features plenty of future NFL talent, but it seems like the score will be notably higher than previous meetings (looking at you, infamous 9-6 2011 game of the century). With the overwhelming wealth of offensive talent that each team features this year, expect plenty of points to be put on the board.
But, given that Tagovailoa has been dinged up this season, it’s not unreasonable to expect Burrow and the Tigers to out-duel him and the Tide. LSU should come out on top in a close one.
Score: LSU 38, Alabama 35
