Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on December 9 in NBA Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

Donovan Mitchell (vs OKC – $7,400 on DK; $8,200 on FD): Mitchell can be inconsistent but he’s consistently great against the Thunder. It’s a back to back for the Thunder as well and on the road, where they aren’t very good. Mitchell is going to be a big time scorer in this one.

Andre Drummond (at NO – $10,100 on DK; $10,800 on FD): Drummond has been a monster in the last handful of games and it’s unlikely the Pelicans will be the team to slow him down. The Pelicans are extremely week against the position and have very little frontcourt presence. Drummond could end up as the top scorer on the night.

Jayson Tatum (vs CLE – $8,000 on DK; $8,500 on FD): Tatum has been on a roll as of late, taking over for Kemba as the top player on the Celtics. The only concern in this game is that the Celtics our the Cavaliers away early and Tatum won’t do enough to play over his value. But Tatum won’t hurt you and if you’re worried about the blowout, go with Kemba as he’s cheaper.

Devin Booker (vs MIN – $8,500 on DK; $8,400 on FD): Booker looks like he’s found his scoring touch, which is bad news for the Timberwolves and their defense. The Timberwolves are on a back to back and overall aren’t a good team. Expect a big Booker scoring output.

Pascal Siakam (at CHI – $7,900 on DK; $9,100 on FD): It was rough night for Siakam on Sunday. Don’t be too concerned about it. The Bulls are not the 76ers. Far from it, actually. Expect a big bounce back performance from Siakam as he makes up for his weak game on Sunday.
