The Ohio State football schedule sets the Buckeyes up for another playoff appearance.

Fresh off a 13-1 season with a conference championship, a couple of Heisman finalists, and a College Football Playoffs berth, Ryan Day and the Ohio State football team is entering into the 2020 college football season with plenty of well-deserved hype and excitement.

Day, in his first season as a head coach, thrived after Urban Meyer stepped down, much like Lincoln Riley did when Bob Stoops stepped down at Oklahoma.

And the Buckeyes should continue to be great in Day’s second season.

Ohio State should conceivably be the best team in the Big Ten in 2020, but can they really contend for a national title without J.K. Dobbins, Chase Young and Jeffrey Okudah?

While they bring back Justin Fields, who is the Heisman co-favorite, losing stars such as Dobbins, who ran for over 2,000 yards and scored 21 rushing touchdowns, and Young, who had 16.5 sacks, will hurt Ohio State quite a bit unless someone steps up and takes their places.

Those are mighty big shoes to fill. Of course, Ohio State landing Trey Sermon (who ran for over 2,000 yards in three seasons at Oklahoma) as a grad transfer will help on offense. Plus, OSU has one of the most blue-chip rosters in the entire country. The Buckeyes should be able to reload going into this season.
