The Utah football schedule has some tough games for the Utah Utes to navigate.

The Utah football team is coming off of an 11-3 season in which Kyle Wittingham and the Utes fell short at the end of the year. Utah got off to a phenomenal start, going 11-1 through the regular season thanks to one of the best defenses in the country as well as experience at quarterback and running back.

But Utah was humbled in the Pac-12 championship game and the Alamo Bowl against Oregon and Texas respectively. Now Wittingham and his team are looking for a strong showing in 2020.

Utah is facing an interesting situation going into the 2020 college football season. The Utes are having to replace solid starters at both running back and quarterback as well as a long list of starters on that remarkable defense.

All of that said, on the other hand, Utah’s schedule is a fairly manageable one.

It remains to be seen how Wittingham and the Utah football team will replace the production of guys like Tyler Huntley and Zach Moss (former South Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley could be a key addition for the Utes here) and the entirety of its secondary, but most of Utah’s toughest games are at home.

That could level the playing field as Wittingham and company look to continue building forward this coming season. 2019 was a breakthrough year for the Utah football team. The Utes don’t want 2020 to be a significant step in the wrong direction.
