The second week of the NFL season was one that brought frantic finishes along with a rash of devastating injuries that could drastically alter the fortunes of several teams.

Many fantasy managers will be hastily rearranging their rosters after significant injuries to star names including Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey and Courtland Sutton. Updates on the health of the likes of Davante Adams, Raheem Mostert and Parris Campbell will be eagerly awaited by owners who will need to make moves to compensate for their absences.

But it was not all bad news in Week 2 as a host of high-profile players delivered astonishing performances that will have helped fantasy teams around the world to victory.

Those who invested significantly in the Green Bay Packers offense continue to be happy with the returns while those who had faith in the coaching staff and the personnel on the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots have been handsomely rewarded to this point.

Despite the relatively unconvincing nature of their win over the Denver Broncos, it’s also an excellent time to have shares in the offense of the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose receiving corps is quickly developing an excellent rapport with Ben Roethlisberger as he aims to silence the doubters on his return from injury.

Here we look at some of the fantasy stars and studs from Week 2 and assess what their performances mean looking ahead to Week 3 and further down the schedule of what is already shaping up to be a fascinating campaign.
