Arkansas is getting a hefty fine after fans stormed the field following the Razorbacks monumental win over Texas Saturday evening.
The SEC has hit Arkansas with a fine after the Razorbacks ran over the Texas Longhorns. Well, to be more specific about why Arkansas is getting fined by the SEC, Razorback fans stormed the field Saturday evening, which is a violation of SEC policy.
Arkansas fans took to the field after the Razorbacks handed their future fellow SEC member a dominant 40-21 loss.
Of course, while the SEC happens to have policies that prohibit such fun, it looks like a blast to be a part of something like this:
Before Arkansas fans ran all over the field, the Razorbacks ran all over the Texas Longhorns. Arkansas ran the ball 47 times for 333 yards and four touchdowns, plowing through the Texas defense with little issue.

The win was monumental for Sam Pittman and the Arkansas football program. The Razorbacks got off to a hot start a season ago but ended up ending the year on a losing streak. There were some questions and doubts about just how good Pittman’s team would be this season. But, giving then-No. 15 Texas a 19-point beating puts the Hogs back on everyone’s radar.
While they were previously unranked, following their win over Texas, the Razorbacks have jumped up to No. 20 in the polls.
More importantly, however, Arkansas’ win over Texas gave us more to discuss on the whole “Texas is back” front. Because Texas is most certainly not back. Despite some early season hype and lofty expectations, the Longhorns clearly have plenty of work to do.
