Will Chris Klieman and the Kansas State Wildcats be able to defeat Lincoln Riley and the Oklahoma Sooners for the third year in a row?

As Oklahoma tries to avoid making an already frustrating start even worse, the Sooners are getting set to face a team that has beaten them in each of the past two seasons: the Kansas State Wildcats. To make things even trickier, Oklahoma has to hit the road to go to Manhattan for the matchup.

Sure, Oklahoma is unbeaten at 4-0 through their first four games, but the Sooners have looked incredibly vulnerable at times. That’s especially true when OU faced Tulane (a game the Sooners won 40-35), Nebraska (a 23-16 win), and West Virginia (16-13 win).

This Kansas State team would love to pull off the upset of the No. 6 team in front of a raucous home crowd, but the Wildcats have been anything but consistent on offense and their defense proved to be pretty porous against Oklahoma State.

K-State has jumped out to a 3-1 start, beating Stanford, Southern Illinois, and Nevada, but the Wildcats were picked apart by the Cowboys’ passing attack a week ago in a 31-20 loss for Kansas State. OU’s Spencer Rattler has to be excited about the chance to throw all over the Wildcats’ defense this week.

Oklahoma vs. Kansas State injury report Week 5

The Kansas State Wildcats aren’t likely to have their star quarterback for this game. Unfortunately for the Wildcats, Skylar Thompson’s knee injury will probably keep him out against Oklahoma. Thompson has been a key contributor in K-State’s last two upsets over OU and the Wildcats’ offense hasn’t looked the same this season without him.
