4. Top fantasy football pickups for Week 7 – Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa

Things are tough right now in Miami, where the Dolphins are 1-5 after entering the year with legitimate playoff expectations. The absence of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for three games certainly hurt but his return in Week 6 offered a bit of a lift for the Dolphins’ offense.

Tagovailoa wasn’t a world-beater in Miami’s loss to Jacksonville in London but he did throw for 329 yards with a pair of touchdowns. Playing on a bad team also has fringe fantasy benefits for Tagovailoa, who will often find himself chasing points late in games, leading to plenty of garbage time goodness.

The Dolphins return home this week for an excellent matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who give up nearly 30 points per game and have been routinely shredded by opposing passers. There is also a potential boost for the Miami passing attack if DeVante Parker is able to get back from hamstring and shoulder issues in time for this game.

Rostered in just 16 percent of Yahoo leagues, Tagovailoa is a good streaming option for fantasy owners who have to find a replacement for Dak Prescott, Josh Allen or Justin Herbert. This game certainly has shootout potential as well, making Tagovailoa an attractive plug-and-play option under center.
