Will Trevor Bauer get a ring if the Dodgers win World Series?

The Los Angeles Dodgers are participating in the 2021 postseason with hopes of defending their World Series title from the shortened 2020 season. And it might just happen, despite all the hurdles the team has had to jump through this season.

One of those hurdles was named Trevor Bauer.

At the beginning of the season, it was revealed that Bauer was being accused of a very serious and violent sexual assault. Bauer has maintained his innocence throughout saying the acts were consensual.

While Bauer is being investigated he was put on a lengthy administration leave and hasn’t played for the Dodgers since his June 28 win over the San Francisco Giants.

What fans might not realize is the rings are handed out by the owners, not the MLB which means they can (and do) give them to whoever they want. Typically that includes players, coaches, front office staff and special people the team wants to recognize.

Who gets a World Series ring?

In any normal season, it would probably be a given that Bauer would get one, even if he were out for an extended period of time. But this isn’t a normal reason.

If he were to get a ring, it would likely not be made public for fear of backlash. Or perhaps the ring decision would wait until after the case was decided.

Either way, we just don’t know.

Only time will tell.
