According to local reports, former Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was driving more than 150 MPH at the time of his DUI crash which killed a young woman.

Things just keep getting worse and worse when it comes to the deadly accident involving former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III. On Tuesday morning, news broke that Ruggs was being charged with DUI resulting in death after he got into a frightening accident in the middle of the night. Police said he looked impaired on the scene.

Now, it’s being reported that Ruggs was driving more than 150 MPH seconds before the collision and his car was going 127 MPH when airbags were deployed. Goodness.

Henry Ruggs BAC was also twice the legal limit

As you can see from the photo above, Ruggs was wearing a neck brace during his mugshot. It’s being reported that he also had a BAC of .161, which is double the legal limit. This accident ended with the death of a 23-year-old woman.

Late on Tuesday night, the Raiders took to their Twitter account to announce that they had released Ruggs from his contract. Ruggs was a first-round pick in 2020 out of Alabama and he truly had all the potential in the world.

During his rookie season last fall, the speedster hauled in 26 receptions for 452 yards and two touchdowns. Thus far this campaign, Ruggs was looking brilliant with Derek Carr feeding him the pigskin, as he had posted 24 catches for 469 yards and two scores in seven games.

Now, though, Ruggs is facing serious consequences from this unspeakable incident. Las Vegas decided it had gathered all the information it needed to make the call to release him. This comes less than a month after the team parted ways with former head coach Jon Gruden as well.
