What did Texas football head coach Steve Sarkisian have to say during his postgame press conference after the Longhorns lost to West Virginia?
What was once a promising Texas football season has spiraled as the Longhorns have lost their sixth consecutive game.
The Longhorns are now unable to even make it to a bowl this season.
There’s almost no doubt that Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian was expecting his first season in Austin to be going better than it has so far, but with yet another frustrating loss, this time to the West Virginia Mountaineers, Texas fans have to be exhausted with how this season is going.
Of course, it’s not like the Longhorns are thrilled with the results on the field. So, what did Sarkisian say following the loss to West Virginia?

With this season essentially already being over, there’s no reason for Sarkisian to not already start looking ahead to what the future might hold. Of course, he’ll have to start getting wins sooner rather than later. Next year will be huge for his future in Austin.
Texas coach Steve Sarkisian: "This has been a difficult stretch that we've been on as a team and as a university as a fan base. But we've got a lot of Texas fight left in us. We'll continue to battle, will continue to compete. I think our future is very bright here."

Sark on the #Longhorns’ inability to close: “Every game, it seems like there’s a different story to tell of why that didn’t happen.” #HookEm

Even though Texas’ game next week won’t mean much, the Longhorns still have to play it. The only problem is they might have to do that with some thin depth at quarterback.
Sark said he appreciates Thompson and Hudson Card battling even though they weren’t 100 percent.

“They gave us everything they had,” he said. #HookEm
Sark on whether Texas will have one healthy QB for K-State: "They're both getting x-rayed here, so I'll probably have a better report for you guys on that Monday."

But, despite the stakes being low for the Longhorns, Sarkisian insists Texas will take next week seriously.
Sark: “We’ve got a lot of Texas Fight left in us. We’ll continue to battle, we’ll continue to fight.” #HookEm
