DeVonta Smith congratulates Bryce Young on winning Heisman Trophy

Bryce Young won the 2021 Heisman Trophy and received a pretty cool congratulations from the previous winner, his former teammate DeVonta Smith.

The Alabama Crimson Tide has joined a pretty exclusive club that consists of teams that have produced Heisman Trophy winners in back-to-back seasons. With DeVonta Smith winning the Heisman Trophy in 2020 and Bryce Young claiming the prestigious award in 2021, Alabama officially has Heisman winners in consecutive years.

Smith was the third player in Alabama’s history to win the Heisman and he made sure to compliment Young and celebrate his accomplishments.

Young was a dominant force throughout the year. He elevated the Crimson Tide’s offense, helping Alabama score with ease.

So far this year, Smith completed 68 percent of his passes while throwing for 4,322 yards and 43 touchdowns. Smith did all of that while only throwing four interceptions this year. It’s incredible.
