The Tennessee Titans got dealt some awful news when it was revealed that Julio Jones would be out due to a hamstring injury.

Well, the Tennessee Titans got some pretty rough news. Julio Jones, one of the most experienced wide receivers in the NFL, has officially been ruled out against the Pittsburgh Steelers as he deals with a hamstring injury.

Julio Jones injury update: Tennessee Titans lose Julio Jones due to hamstring injury

The news is awful for both Jones and the Titans. Losing Jones is a huge blow to Tennessee’s ability to compete and win and, in general, hamstring injuries can be devastating for a player to have to deal with.

The 32-year-old receiver hasn’t been having a great season and this sort of news isn’t going to make things much better for him.

Jones was a monumental addition to the Titans roster and seemed like he could help elevate Tennessee’s shot at a Super Bowl. However, because of injury issues, his potential impact has been limited.

So far this season, Jones has caught 25 passes for 369 yards. He doesn’t have a touchdown yet this year. He has only been able to play in seven games so far this season and, with a hamstring injury, it’s not clear exactly how much he’ll be able to play going forward.

This is far from the season that Jones could have had. Unfortunately, that’s just how it has all played out.
